Under the patronage of the Ruler of Fujairah, Mohammed Al Sharqi attends the opening ceremony of the Fujairah International Monodrama Festival and praises its role in supporting one-actor theater globally.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, affirmed the Emirate of Fujairah's leading position in the culture and arts sector and its significant role in supporting theater in general and the art of monodrama in particular.

This came during His Highness's attendance at the opening ceremony of the Fujairah International Monodrama Festival, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, at the Fujairah Creative Center Theater. The ceremony was attended by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Rashid bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority; His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Hamad Al Sharqi; His Excellency Ahmed Fouad Hano, Egyptian Minister of Culture and the festival's guest of honor; Her Excellency Sarah Al Amiri, UAE Minister of Education; and His Excellency Mohammed Saeed Al Dhanhani, Director of the Fujairah Emiri Court and Chairman of the Festival's Supreme Organizing Committee.

His Highness The Crown Prince of Fujairah highlighted the Emirate of Fujairah's commitment, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, to supporting and sponsoring cultural and artistic projects that enhance the emirate's presence regionally and internationally through cultural openness to all creative experiences and highlighting the common human values ​​shared by the peoples of the world.

His Highness also highlighted the importance of the Fujairah International Monodrama Festival since its inception in attracting theater professionals and artists from around the world through its most prominent monodrama productions. These monodrama works address numerous humanitarian and social issues of interest to individuals everywhere, opening horizons for cultural dialogue between different cultures and contributing to promoting the values ​​of coexistence, understanding, and openness to others.

His Excellency Mohammed Saeed Al Dhanhani, Director of the Fujairah Emiri Diwan and Chairman of the Festival's Supreme Organizing Committee, said in his speech during the opening ceremony, "His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, intended this festival to be an oasis that taps into your abundant love and solidarity, your discussions, and your suggestions. Therefore, it was destined to continue its success and shine, becoming a grand cultural and artistic council that accommodates all nationalities on earth, and for Fujairah to be the intellectual and enlightening complement to the UAE's cultural project." Al Dhanhani added, “The festival’s organizing committee, with the support and direct follow-up of the patron of the cultural movement in Fujairah, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, has been keen to hold a session with greater effectiveness and a more comprehensive cultural dimension, which achieves the goal and vision of the Asai Festival, as it provides a different artistic festive atmosphere that guarantees its continuity and expands its Arab and international audience so that the monodrama is close to the people, reflecting their concerns, expanding their awareness, conveying the pulse of the street, and confirming the leadership of Fujairah in this ancient art."

For his part, His Excellency Tobias Bianconi, Director General of the International Theatre Institute, said, "The Emirate of Fujairah is steadily moving forward through all its efforts to become a unique global center for the arts and arts education. By seeking to attract those interested in culture, arts, and theater from around the world and providing opportunities to learn artistic skills, Fujairah will undoubtedly become a prominent global center for the arts and arts education."

His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah honored the festival's sponsors and supporting partners.

The opening ceremony included a musical theatrical performance entitled "From Fujairah to Sunrise," which showcased artistic, theatrical, and musical performances about Fujairah and its cultural history.

The opening ceremony was attended by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, and a large gathering of theater professionals, artists, and interested parties from within and outside Fujairah.
